Q: When and how did
you start your career in technology?
I started my career
in technology as a middle school teacher. I taught at a magnet school where
students and teachers had, for the time, unusually easy access to the Internet
and computers. I left teaching to start training software, but quickly became a
consultant and project manager.
Q: What is the
biggest change you have seen in the last 10 years?
I believe the
emergence of smart phones and mobile computing has reduced the level of fear in
the average consumer. People live in a state of constant technological change
and development. Most seem OK with that.
Q: What do you do
for fun?
Read, play games
with family and friends, write
Q: What is one think
people can look forward to at your conference session?
An entertaining look
at how OneNote is quietly becoming an incredibly popular and necessary piece of
software.

Balboa has over fifteen years of experience in the legal vertical. He has
consulted, developed and managed a number of projects, ranging from the
conversion of WordPerfect to Microsoft Office environments, Microsoft Office
implementations, VBA and .Net based desktop software, Workshare Professional
and IManage rollouts. Rex has a knack for translating business requirements
into plain language, understood by all.
