Printing Document Lists from a DMS

Question: is there a way to print the list of documents in a (HP/Autonomy's Filesite/Worksite) DMS folder? Or in NetDocuments

Answer - HP's Filesite: Yes! There are two ways to easily do this: 

  1. Select (go to it) the FileSite folder, or search results. 
    • Arrange it how you want it to print (sort, add columns (fields), etc.). 
    • Go to Outlook's File, Print. 
    • Click OK to the pop-up dialog box. 
    • Then choose Table Style (not Memo style). 
  2. Highlight the entire LIST ( or CTRL-A) 
    • Do a CTRL-C ( not a right-click) to copy the data. 
    • Open Excel 
    • Use CTRL-V to paste 

Answer - NetDocuments: Yes! NetDocuments provides the ability to print a formatted list of documents from any List View page - Saved Search, Folder or Recent Docs. 

  • The Print List option is added to all List View pages under Options.
  • The tip text for this option is "Display all search results in a printer-friendly format." When the Print list option is clicked, a new browser window is opened and displays the entire search results (up to 500)
