How to Zip Files
Let’s look at two ways to zip files: one quick, one with more options.
How to easily zip a group of files in Explorer
- In Windows Explorer, open the folder that has the files you want to zip (they must be in the same location).
- Select your files by holding the CTRL key down.
- Right-click one of the files and the Explorer dropdown menu will open where you will select WinZip and Add to Zip file...
- WinZip will open along with the Add Files window.
- Here you can modify the file name and destination plus choose options such as Encrypt files.
- When finished, click Add.
- An Add Complete dialogue box will appear showing you how much your files will be compressed.
- Click OK.
Your new zip file is now saved to the location you specified.
