ILTA Resolutions for 2016 and E-Discovery ROI
Members recently discussed the return on investment in e-discovery and billing back to the client. To delve into this topic further, review the recently released ILTA Litigation Practice and Support Technology Survey and register for and join the E-discovery ROI Teleforum on Thursday, December 17, 2015.
In October people note how much of the year has passed and how quickly. Now it’s December. I’m skipping over the “best of 2015” lists and jumping right to resolutions for 2016, specifically ILTA resolutions. Consider some of these resolutions as we race toward 2016.
- Update your member profile. Members search the directory to find people with expertise in a subject or geographical location and to re-connect with old friends and colleagues. Don’t miss this networking opportunity because of a stale profile. Log in to the Connected Community, click on the profile picture in the upper right corner and select Profile to update.
- Read the ILTA white papers and articles from the Peer to Peer issues of 2015. These publications offer something for everyone.
- Join a community and discussion forum of interest to you in the Connected Community.
- ILTA needs your expertise. Share your ideas for programming and publications by clicking on Have a Great Idea? or the light bulb icon.
- Learn what is most important to your legal technology peers. Review the ILTA surveys of 2015.
- Dealing with a career change? Visit ILTA’s Career Center to upload your searchable online résumé and read more about peer support.
- Have you always wanted to help with an ILTA program? For a list of current programming projects see the Volunteer for a Project Team page. If the current projects do not fit your skill set, contact Nicole Martinez and share your area of expertise and interest. She will contact you when that programming need arises.
As ILTA’s content curator, I’m always monitoring the discussion forums to discover what topics are top-of-mind among the members. Each week, I focus on a few areas that spark your interest, and I provide some curated resources to assist your own information-gathering on the topics. If there are specific topics you would like assistance exploring, please contact me at joanne@iltanet.org.
