More ILTA Resolutions for 2016 and Securing Your DMS
Recently members asked about and discussed the review of document management system procedures and best practices. Thanks to Gillian Glass and Joe Davis and the entire ILTA Information Management Content Coordinating Team for putting together “Considerations When Securing Your Document Management System.”
If you already completed all your ILTA resolutions from last week’s post, have no fear. I have a few more ILTA resolutions to keep you busy until 2016.
- Are you receiving notifications from ILTA? Check that ilta@iltanet.org and connectedcommunity.org are added to your spam filter whitelist.
- Do you want to update the communications you receive from ILTA? Go to your profile in the Connected Community. Under the “My Account” tab in your profile select “Email Preferences.” Click on the link for “opt in/opt out for ILTA announcements.”
- Share your expertise. Volunteer to write for one of ILTA’s publications or volunteer for one of the open ILTA volunteer positions.
- Invite a co-worker to register and create an ILTA profile with her business email address. She can join you in taking advantage of all the ILTA membership benefits.
- Register for an upcoming event such as a webinar, a roadshow or a local event. If it’s local, take advantage of networking opportunities with your ILTA peers.
- Are there new employees to add or departed employees to remove from your ILTA Company Profile? Go to the Connected Community Directory, search for your law firm or law department’s name under “company name” and review the people listed. If the profile needs updating, contact onlineservices@iltanet.org and include the necessary changes in your message.
