This past week members discussed MDM tools and more. Explore curated sources on these topics including some from ILTA’s treasure chest.
Mobile Device Management Tools
Last week we talked about dual factor authentication changes as prescribed by NIST. This week ILTA peers discussed Exchange and other tools for managing password policies. Ricky Brooman writes “Navigating Through the MDM Software Market” in the Spring 2016 Peer to Peer to help you make the right decision for your firm. For specific information on Exchange features and functionality fast forward to 22 minutes 35 seconds into the “Microsoft Road Map for 2016 Server Platforms” webinar. While shopping for the right tool, check your policy strength. Vikas Pall wrote a helpful piece in Peer to Peer in 2015, “From Blurred to Secured: Four Steps to a Better BYOD Policy.” If you need statistics to take to the decision makers, AdWeek – Social Times shares some infographics that tell you the use of Mobile in the U.S. market in “The State of Mobile in the U.S. (Infographic).” Though focused more on marketing, it tells us where our users are between reviewing documents and responding to emails.
SOMETHING EXTRA – Trial Support and ILTACON
Over the past few months the ILTA Radio Trial Support A-Z Series has excellent guides in Litigation Legal Project Management, Timelines and now it adds Trial Presentation. Be sure to watch for more on these trial support topics in podcasts and blog postings.
What are others saying about ILTACON? Chris Dale of the eDisclosure Information Project recently shared his perspective in “ILTA Conference 2016 Coming Up.” Whether you can attend in person or not, watch the blog and Twitter feeds from the ILTACON home page, #ILTACON.
As ILTA’s content curator, I’m always monitoring the discussion forums to discover what topics are top-of-mind among the members. Each week, I focus on a few areas that spark your interest, and I provide some curated resources to assist your own information-gathering on the topics.
