Law + iPad: It's like Office on your iPad (almost) - A review of Quickoffice Pro HD

My name is Luke Schnoebelen and I work at Shook, Hardy & Bacon in Kansas City.    I am starting this blog to give my reviews of iPad applications that could be of use to someone who works with the law, from lawyers to administrators and everyone in between.     Don't hesitate to ask questions or leave comments.

As of today (April 10th, 2012) Office isn't available for iPad.  So I found an alternative, Quickoffice Pro HD.

Rundown:

  • Office 2007 and Office 2010 compatible for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Also includes PDF viewer
  • External keyboard compatible
  • Easy to edit Word documents, email attachments, PowerPoint slides and Excel documents
  • Ability to create new documents, PPT and spreadsheet
  • Ability to print over AirPrint
  • Filesharing leaves something to be desired.
  • Available on Android and iPhone

My take:  

This is the best Office app in the marketplace for the iPad (currently).     With all of the options for version compatibility this is a great app to help you manage your Office documentation on the go.   If you
