From the creators of TrialPad, here is a quick review of TranscriptPad for the iPad.

App Link: Click Here!

Cost: $49.99

Quick Start Guide: http://www.transcriptpad.com/downloads/TranscriptPad_1.0_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf

My take:

Pros

-          Ease of use to markup multiple depos on the go.  (This will make the mobile user happy)

-          Supports .txt format and PDF.    (Might be an issue with  the courts that have their proprietary format)

-          Great page alignment and numbering

-          Reader functionality – scrolling without touching the screen, sort of like a teleprompter

-          Easy to annotate sections with comments and color code (6 colors)

-          Ability to create new digests from transcript content and ability to send via email attachment

Cons

-          No proximity search

-          No real good way to share files (app developer currently working on this)
