Being a first time attendee to a conference this size can be intimidating. My first conference was only a few years ago, so I still remember it well. On top of being a first-timer, I was new to my firm and a speaker. Talk about nervous! Fortunately, I had good friends and coworkers to guide me. I recently had a request from a coworker for some first timer advice, so I thought I'd share with the community.

Dress is business casual to casual for almost everything. I’ll be wearing crops/capris and sandals for almost everything. Guys will be wearing anything from suits to shorts. Dress is more formal for the Distinguished Peer Awards dinner, which is Tuesday night. The meeting rooms can sometimes be chilly, so you may want to bring a sweater.
