The Applied Legal Data Analytics (ALDA) Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information, technical and strategic, related to statistics, analytics, and visualization in pursuit of business value and improved organizational decision-making. To facilitate the opportunity for cross-fertilization of concepts and learning, the focus of the community is generally on the “how” or the “means” rather than the “ends” to which the techniques are used. Topics of discussion include data flows, database requirements, ETL approaches, analysis platforms, tools, statistical distributions, linear and non-linear analysis, text analytics, data visualization, legal applications, and data science skillsets.
