Master Class - Extracting the Goldmine of Information buried in Docketing

When:  Nov 11, 2021 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)

Description

Abstract: Firms have long invested in a docketing team, centralized or distributed, to reduce the risk of missing deadlines and to record filings. Docketing systems can be further used to enhance knowledge management and other functions within the firm.

Outline: In this talk we discuss: What is a Docketing / Case Management Solution? How can it be set up to automatically capture information from the courts, such as documents and deadlines and case details? Any case management system can be set up automatically to capture information from internal resources, such as Accounting, HR, and Conflicts.

We will also be discussing how to properly address the primary goal of risk management while building up an experience database useful for Knowledge Management and Business Development. We will describe various attorney deadline notification methods and various presentations of the same data for Case Searches, Document inquiries and Dashboards. This presentation will also touch upon maximizing the investment in the firm’s DMS to automatically store court documents.
