Edward Serafin III is the Chief Security Architect at Micro Strategies. In his role, he is responsible for Micro Strategies’ security as well as assisting Micro Strategies’ customers with incident response & investigations, insider threat hunting & investigations, cyber security architecture, open source intelligence (OSINT) collection, cyber security research, penetration testing & RT/BT operations , security operations, security policies, procedures, & governance, and security awareness & operations training.

Throughout his career, Edward has worked in many capacities including security analysis, engineering, cyber intelligence and penetration testing.

Prior to joining Micro Strategies, Edward was employed by Telcordia Technologies, Inc. dba iconectiv as their Corporate SOC Director. In this role, he designed and built iconectiv’s corporate security operations center and instituted other cybersecurity initiatives that are still leveraged by iconectiv today. Edward received iconectiv’s ACE Award for his contributions to the iconectiv NPAC information security program which included the creation of the iconectiv NPAC SOC.
