Minneapolis - LogicallyDrafted: Proof, Not Promise: A Peer Roundtable

When:  Thu, Oct 8, 2026 from 11:45 to 13:30 (ET)

Logically Drafted presents: Proof, Not Promise

A peer roundtable over lunch on what it takes for a firm's capability to be believed, not just claimed.

Hosted by Avvoka at the offices of Fredrikson & Byron P.A., 60 South 6th Street, Minneapolis.

A vendor-agnostic peer roundtable series running candid, discussion-led conversations about what is actually happening with legal technology — beyond the main conference narratives. Previous sessions have been held in Denver, New York, Chicago and London.

Clients have heard the promises. This session asks what it takes for a firm's technology and drafting capability to become something a client can actually see, believe, and choose you for — rather than another claim they have heard before.

Two discussion strands

01 - What clients are actually asking for

Firms invest heavily in technology on the assumption they know what clients value. Clients are forming their own views about which firms are genuinely capable and which are simply saying so.

  • When a client says they want their firm to be more technologically capable, what do they actually mean?
  • Where have you been surprised by what a client did or did not care about?
  • Are you shaping that judgement, or leaving it to chance?

02 — Making capability visible and credible

Most of what firms improve about how work gets drafted is invisible to the client, and when firms do talk about it they reach for language clients have heard and discounted before.

  • What would a client notice if they could watch a piece of work move from instruction to delivery?
  • What makes a capability claim land with someone who has been overpromised before?
  • Where has your firm earned credit for a real improvement, and where has it gone completely unseen?

Format

A short 10-minute introduction, followed by a facilitated discussion over lunch. Chatham House rules throughout. 20 to 30 attendees, invitation only.
