Description:

The Program Planning Council Chair is an appointed member of the Program Planning Council (PPC). The Chair act as a leader for the group to liaise with the Board, staff and PPC members to set goals, ensure priorities are being met, problem-solve and set agendas.

Compensation
ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.

Responsibilities
• Works with ILTA staff and PPC Vice-chair to manage the group and logistics
• Identifies and resolves any issues and ensures meetings run smoothly
• Attends all PPC calls and in-person meetings
• Attends a monthly call with Vice-chair and staff liaison to the PPC
• Removes obstacles to achieve PPC’s annual goals and sets priorities
• Keeps and reports on metrics
• Actively participates in meetings and calls with the PPC and other ILTA teams as necessary
• Helps develop the Programming Pathways for the year
• Helps execute ILTA's strategic goal of increasing member engagement through consistent programming across all ILTA deliverables
• Participates in interviews and selection of other PPC members
• Coaches and mentors ILTA PPC members
• Exhibits a positive communication style in person, on the phone and through email messages with PPC members as well as other volunteer leaders and staff
• Serves as an ambassador for ILTA
• Abide by ILTA's Conflict of Interest Policy
