He consults with other leaders on practices to quickly supplement and experiment with artificial intelligence within their workflows and then expand to substitute and transform key value drivers in their business – helping them consider financial factors, talent mix/staffing, and investment approaches as our industry transforms and adopts AI.
Chris is a highly experienced eDiscovery and legal technology consultant with an extensive 25+ year career in the field. He co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Technology at Troutman Pepper eMerge, a subsidiary of the law firm Troutman Pepper. In the 13 years that Chris was at eMerge, eMerge evolved from a small traditional litigation support cost center into a profitable, multi-million-dollar eDiscovery service provider. eMerge found success by combining legal expertise and advanced technology for effective management of electronically stored information (ESI) in various legal contexts.
Chris's experience includes consulting with attorneys and clients on a range of subjects, including information governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, data migration, litigation readiness, eDiscovery, and the utilization of advanced technology to enhance legal efficiencies. He has had a variety of responsibilities including leading an award-winning technology team, overseeing the technology infrastructure, and directing the technology services provided. Over the years, his teams provided eDiscovery, data management, data remediation, AI solutions, preservation, computer forensics, data collection, processing, managed review, production, case strategy, presentation services, and custom application development services.

Chris has received multiple awards as an industry leader and for products that he has helped develop. He is a frequent speaker and thought leader on eDiscovery and legal technology topics.
