When I finished my undergrad I was not sure what I wanted to do with my life. I managed to come across the job posting for a college library/teaching position and quickly discovered that not only do I love to teach, but that I truly enjoy seeing the look on someone's face when they finally "get it." It's cool when I feel like I'm making a difference in helping someone out.
Right as I finished my MBA studies, I got lucky and stumbled across the job posting for a Training Specialist at Husch & Eppenberger. That was back in May, 2007. We quickly merged and became Husch Blackwell. I existed as a Training Specialist until Fall 2022 when our internal reorganization gave me the opportunity to become our firm's full-time Learning Systems Administrator. Early in 2025, I was shifted to the HR Technology Team and while I still have essentially the same duties, I was officially an HR Technology Administrator.
In the Fall of 2025, the opportunity to get back in front of my law firm colleagues presented itself, and I joined Thompson Coburn. As of January, 2026, I am the Learning & Development Manager.
I provide custom learning solutions for internal teams, develop one-off's to address needs from my internal customers, build reports, guide programs, monitor Firm communications from IT and related groups, mentor my team, provide just-in-time assistance, teach classes, help out with orientation, assist with data analysis, and so much more.
I'm often the primary "geek" for many crazier requests like complicated Excel tasks, PDF heavy duty lifting and more.
