Bio

Michele has managed various aspects of legal technology and governance at large global law firms for more than 30 years. She oversees Holland & Knight’s information governance team, developing strategies around electronic data and physical records to provide a balance of risk management, client service and cost efficiencies.  Her previous 11+ years were with Dentons as the Global Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance, serving on their Global Security Committee, chairing the global AI working group and leading integrated global IT security, risk management and technology functions to help the firm deliver industry-leading client services. Prior to that, she led multiple teams at Mayer Brown for 20+ years.  She has extensive experience with numerous business functions, including security, governance, risk and compliance; budgeting and business analysis; project management; communications; system implementations; user experience enhancement; human resources; procurement; and large global mergers and combinations.

Michele regularly volunteers with ILTA, currently serving as co-chair of the Women In Security Committee and on the LegalSEC (security) Steering Committee. She has served as an ILTA board member, board president, conference co-chair, co-chair of the Women Who Lead initiative, and member of committees on security, talent and executive search. She served on the Sedona Conference’s Cyber Working Group, is a member of the Law Firm Information Governance Symposium’s steering committee and a fellow with the College of Law Practice Management.  She frequently speaks and writes on topics of governance, security, international relations, and career management and is passionate about recruiting others to keep building a collaborative community in the legal services eco system and beyond.
